Mobility by Vectio with Joan Franco

After four years at the helm of the Spanish engineering employers’ association, Catalan engineer Joan Franco is handing over the reins on 16 June to Rosalía Gil-Albarellos, who will take charge of Tecniberia. We at Vectio | Traffic & transport planning would like to thank Joan for his extraordinary work at the helm of our association over the last four years. During his presidency, our presence in various fields has been strengthened, our membership has grown, and the foundations have been laid for a better future for Spanish engineering firms.

In the lengthy conversation we had with him at the Col·legi d’Camins in Barcelona, there was time to take stock of his tenure at the helm of Tecniberia, discuss the issue of unfair competition from state-owned media within our transport engineering sector, and even talk about his life after stepping down from the role.
