Mobility by Vectio with Ana Olmeda

In the latest instalment of Mobility by Vectio, we discussed traffic data, Big Data and Smart Cities with Ana Olmeda, director of Datfor, a company specialising in mobility data. Datfor is a Spanish platform specialising in traffic and mobility data, focused on the analysis of vehicle, pedestrian and bicycle traffic, demand studies, flows, etc. Its offering includes a database with more than 20,000 counting points on the road network. The available data includes, among other things:

    • Average Daily Traffic (ADT). datfor.com
    • Vehicle, pedestrian and bicycle counts. datfor.com
    • Data segmented by hour, day, month; distribution of vehicle types; origin-destination flows; historical and real-time data.
  • Its target audience includes transport and urban planning technicians, logistics operators, public administrations, urban planners, retailers (for locating premises according to people flows), micro-mobility, smart cities, etc. datfor.com
  • The platform allows microdata to be downloaded in CSV format (or Parquet if the volumes are large), useful for analysis, modelling, GIS visualisation, mobility studies, forecasting, urban planning, infrastructure location, etc.

In addition, Datfor has just launched its DatForTraffic platform, which combines its own traffic and mobility data with that of various administrations to offer its customers a fast and effective service when it comes to decision-making.
