Vectio traffic engineer Itziar Buruchaga was interviewed by a regional television team on the occasion of the recent approval by the Ministry of Transport of an allocation of 510 million euros to improve energy efficiency in road lighting throughout Spain. The Y is one of the highways at national level with the highest traffic density and accident rate, particularly at night, also due to the Asturian climate. In 2023, traffic accidents increased 73% in Asturias, the highest increase at national level.
