The Association of Civil Engineers organized last Thursday the conference Trends in the development of shopping centers II presented by Juan A. Santamera, president of the Association and Ramón Gámez, director of the MDI of the Polytechnic University of Madrid.
During the conference real cases were presented and discussed both nationally and internationally. The focus on LATAM was constant throughout the event, highlighting specific cases such as Mitikah “Ciudad Vida” (Mexico City, 2021), El Edén (Bogotá), 2019, Mall open Plaza Kenedy (Santiago, 2019) or OxÃgeno Human Playground (Costa Rica 2018).
Victor Manuel Fernández, an economist at Merlin Properties presented the national case of the X Madrid centre, while César Vida, an architect at Cabeza y Sastre spoke about the Open Sky project in Madrid as well.
