The VIII Spanish National Congress of Civil Engineering took place in Madrid on February 17th and 18th, at the headquarters of the Association of Civil Engineers.
Under the motto of “The leadership of Civil Engineers”, the congress talked about mobility (and the future law announced by the Government), decarbonization and action against climate change, urban agenda, circular economy and how to carry them out with the digitalization and realignment of people, machines and systems with the technology to respond to these challenges; using BIM, digital twins, platforms with cooperative alliances and transforming civil engineering into the engineering of adaptation and humanitarian, managing uncertainty.
The specific cases of water and energy and their storage were presented, among others, in a context of change towards what has been called stakeholder capitalism.
The Vectio team attended this congress in order to know the future trends of the sector and to be able to anticipate the needs of the clients during the next years.
