Vectio chosen by Torrelaguna City Council to draft the new SUMP

The Madrid municipality of Torrelaguna, located in the Sierra Norte, with a population of 4,949 inhabitants and an important cultural and architectural heritage, has entrusted Vectio with the drafting of its Sustainable Urban Mobility Plan. The objective of the plan is to promote and strengthen alternative means of transport to the private vehicle to move around the municipality, which will provide both economic and health benefits, as well as environmental benefits. The council is also requesting the collaboration of citizens in conducting anonymous surveys to help better understand the mobility needs of the citizens of Torrelaguna. All residents of Torrelaguna can participate in this survey until August 10 in this link provided by the City Council:

The choice of Vectio as the company responsible for carrying out the drafting of the new SUMP has been influenced by the consultancy’s track record in this type of work. Since 2007 Vectio has developed dozens of Sustainable Mobility Plans for municipalities throughout Spain.

In parallel, the Torrelaguna City Council wants to take advantage of this new Mobility Plan to respond to other needs of traffic and parking reorganization, so necessary in the municipality. In addition, the PMUS is part of the actions included in the Torrelaguna Tourism Sustainability Plan, co-financed by the Secretary of State for Tourism, the Community of Madrid and the City Council.
