Jorge Rodríguez represents Vectio at the presentation of the Advisory Board and Talent in Engineering Awards of the Caja Rural de Asturias Foundation

The Caja Rural de Asturias Foundation, with the participation of its president Fernando Martínez, its director Eva Pando, and Antonio Romero, general manager of Caja Rural de Asturias, organized a meeting at the emblematic Pozo San Luis for the presentation of its new Advisory Board and the launch of the Talent in Engineering Awards 2024. The event was attended by most of the award winners and representatives of the collaborating companies, including Jorge Rodríguez, Talent in Engineering Award in its Future version in 2016, and current Technical Director of Vectio Traffic Engineering.

Fernando Martínez, president of the Foundation, explained, “We held this meeting at Pozo San Luis to highlight two fundamental aspects for our Foundation: support for the territory and recognition of the work and effort that so many people have made for our region. The commitment to talent is a strategic axis for us and we want to promote it because we know that it is the lever of wealth for Asturias”. The purpose of the meeting was to invite the winners of the Engineers of the Year award for the whole initiative to join the Foundation’s Advisory Board. They will be proposed to the Board of Trustees for formal approval. The mission of the Advisory Council will be to provide its vision on the strategic lines to be followed, evaluate the activities developed and measure their impact and results.

During the meeting, the strategic axes of the Foundation and the call for impact projects were discussed.

The Caja Rural de Asturias Foundation works for the economic and social development of the territory, focusing on four strategic axes:

  • Sustainability: Environmental and demographic approach.
  • Innovation and Talent: Main levers of wealth generation.
  • Science: Support for research and dissemination to democratize knowledge.
  • Impact Investment: Support for projects with social and environmental impact.
