The purpose of this study was to provide the client with a traffic study that would reveal the current flow of traffic in the existing urban environment where there are already numerous commercial chains; in this location where the company plans to install, facilitating the decision making process. The current state of traffic was analysed by hourly, daily and monthly sections. Likewise, a prognosis of future evolution will be made.
This work identified and analyzed the traffic in the commercial and industrial area of the town of El Ejido, specifically a roundabout intersection that distributes traffic from the main road and the eastern branch of that roundabout that connects to the medical centers mentioned above.The works carried out for this project were the following:
- Installation of an artificial vision camera around the intersection.
- Installation of a radar technology capacity on the road that gives access to the aforementioned roundabout.
- Installation of a radar technology capacity on the access road to the Shopping Centre near the study area.
- Compilation and analysis of the public data available from the Ministry of Development and the Andalusian Regional Government's traffic information offices in the vicinity of the area under study.
