The purpose of this project was to provide the client company with a traffic and mobility study for the processing of the development licence, mainly for the use of Logistics and Industrial Services. In compliance with the Madrid City Council’s current urban planning legislation, a traffic study was required to provide information on the current travel flow in the area, estimate the traffic generation of the future development based on its land uses and diagnose, thanks to the use of simulation software, the road capacity and its level of service.
Likewise, since the implementation of a new activity will generate, to a greater or lesser extent, an impact on the operating conditions of the existing infrastructures, the levels of service were analysed, and improvement measures were proposed if necessary, in order to ensure that traffic conditions are maintained in terms of efficient and fluid mobility.
Therefore, in general terms, the project analysed the current state of the study environment in order to, once the generation derived from the start-up of the new business service had been estimated, assess the impact on road traffic circulation conditions and develop a series of actions to minimise the impact generated, if these were necessary.
