Infrastructure Master Plan for the Mobility in Asturias 2015-2030

City and Public Authorities

Asturias needed a Master Plan to reorganise all modes of transport (private vehicle, rail, public transport by road and air transport) and to plan all infrastructures (roads, railways, stations and airports), regardless of their ownership to respond to and plan the demand for mobility of the citizens of Asturias in the short and medium term.

The Government of Asturias commissioned Vectio-Eptisa UTE, through a public tender, to develop the new Master Plan. The main task was to carry out transport demand studies conducted by Vectio, both for goods and passengers.

The works that were conducted to carry out this project were as follows:

  • Collection of data;
  • Interpretation of collected data;
  • Comprehensive analysis through transport analysis techniques.
