Arnaiz Arquitectos commissioned Vectio to conduct a transport assessment annexed to the ‘Los Carriles’ Special Plan.
The aim of the assessment was to find out the demand generated by the new urban area and assess the existing and future access roads. The purpose of this assessment was to find out an estimate of the flow of traffic of the area and estimate the mobility generated by the new development proposed to subsequently diagnose the road capacity of the detour alternatives and their level of service.
The works carried out to conduct this assessment were as follows:
- Installation of traffic counts with radar technology, pneumatic technology and artificial vision
- Assessment of allocation of future traffic rates
- Analysis of the level of service of the surrounding roads
- Assessment of the surrounding junctions and the connection of the new urban area through micro-modelling techniques
