Traffic study for the mobilization of wind turbine blades

Infrastructure & Engineering

The company Vestas, which is exclusively engaged in wind energy, needed to promote its facilities in Daimiel (Ciudad Real), so it commissioned Vectio to develop a plan to transport wind blades from the Vestas Blades factory (Daimiel) to the Port of Motril (Granada).

The aim of this project was to provide a traffic and pre-feasibility assessment for the transport of said wind turbines, diagnosing whether it has ample capacity to cater for the existing infrastructures, analysing the routes available and proposing the modification to them so that the transport could take place optimally.
